Lee Valley Mirka PROS 6″ Pneumatic Sander, 5mm Orbit

This ergonomically designed pneumatic sander lets you work quickly and efficiently with minimal dust, noise and vibration. Its 6″ diameter platen and aggressive 5mm random-orbital pattern permit rapid sanding of large surfaces while yielding consistent surface finishes in a range of applications.

Only 4″ tall and weighing 0.93kg (just under 2 lb 1 oz), the sander is easy to handle. It connects to standard 3/8″ diameter air hoses, requiring 17 cfm of air at pressure up to 90 psi.

Compatible with a range of Mirka discs, it lets you select from a full line of abrasive types and grits to match the application.

Effectively dust-free in use, it has a rear port for connection to a 1″ diameter vacuum hose, and a pattern of holes in the platen that draws dust from across the entire sanding disc. It has a noise rating of 75 dB, low vibration output (3.2m/s²) and a shielded outlet port that directs exhaust air away from the user.

The upper control paddle lets you adjust speed on the fly without interrupting your work – pressing the paddle increases the speed up to 12,000 rpm, a lighter squeeze slows the motor, and releasing it stops the tool within seconds.
