Lee Valley Pentacryl Wood Stabilizer

One of the main problems associated with working green wood is the cracks and checks that develop when the workpiece begins to dry. This product offers a solution.

Made from siliconized polymers, the viscous liquid quickly migrates into the wet wood (up to 90% faster than wax emulsion products) and stabilizes the cellular structure of the wood by displacing its natural moisture. Best applied through partial or full immersion, the stabilizer can also be sprayed or brushed on after each carving or turning session. This versatility is ideal for stabilizing large carving projects that can take weeks or months to complete.

Once completely dry, treated wood can be glued, stained and finished as desired. Includes instructions. 32 fl oz (940ml).
